Our purpose
RoomRoll Calculator is a practical online resource for people planning a wallpaper project. Estimating wallpaper can feel confusing because the number of rolls depends on more than the size of a room. Roll dimensions, wall height, pattern repeat, trimming and the arrangement of openings all affect the final quantity. Our aim is to make the first planning step clearer by giving visitors a straightforward calculator and supporting educational information.
The site is intended for homeowners, renters, DIY enthusiasts, decorators, interior design students and anyone who wants to understand the basics before contacting a wallpaper supplier or installer. It is designed to be usable on desktop computers, tablets and mobile phones so measurements can be checked while planning a room.
What the calculator does
The calculator accepts room length, room width, wall height, roll width and roll length. It supports common metric and imperial input units and converts values into metres for calculation. Visitors can select a rough door allowance, choose a waste allowance and enter an optional price per roll. The result includes an estimated roll count, approximate wall area, adjusted coverage area, a simplified base estimate and an optional material cost.
In this version, the calculation compares an area-based estimate with a simplified strip-based check. This is intended to reduce the risk of relying only on nominal square metres. The strip check is not a complete cutting plan and does not calculate pattern matching. The result remains an estimate that should be verified before ordering.
How we approach content
We aim to publish practical explanations rather than presenting a number without context. Supporting pages explain how the estimate is calculated, why pattern repeat matters, how to measure a room and which questions to ask a supplier. We want visitors to understand the assumptions behind a result and know when professional advice is appropriate. Content should be reviewed when product terminology, common practices or site functionality changes.
Accuracy and limitations
The site cannot inspect a physical room or independently verify the dimensions entered by a visitor. It does not know the precise product unless the visitor enters its dimensions. A manufacturer's coverage statement, pattern repeat and installation guide may take precedence over a generic calculation. Complex rooms, staircases, sloped ceilings, mural panels and large repeating patterns require more detailed planning than this calculator provides.
We encourage users to measure carefully, check units, use the exact product label and confirm the final quantity with a qualified installer or supplier. A result from this site is not a quote, guarantee, professional measurement or promise that a particular amount of wallpaper will be sufficient.
Independent information
Unless a page explicitly states otherwise, the site is an informational planning tool and is not affiliated with wallpaper manufacturers or retailers. Names and trademarks mentioned in explanatory content belong to their respective owners. Any future commercial relationship, sponsorship or affiliate arrangement should be clearly disclosed on the relevant page.
Accessibility and usability
We aim to make the site readable and easy to navigate across screen sizes. Forms use labels, navigation has clear destinations and pages are designed with a responsive layout. If you encounter a problem using the calculator, a broken link or an accessibility barrier, please tell us through the contact details on the Contact page. Feedback helps identify problems that may not be apparent during development.
Privacy and advertising
The calculator in this package performs calculations in the visitor's browser and is not intentionally designed to send measurement values to a server. Website hosting, security services, contact tools, analytics or advertising services may process technical data depending on what the site owner configures. The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy must be reviewed and updated to accurately describe the live deployment and the third-party services it uses.
If advertising is introduced, ads should be clearly distinguishable from content and placed in a way that does not encourage accidental clicks. Advertising should not interfere with calculator controls or make the site difficult to use. The presence of a privacy page or an ad placeholder does not itself establish compliance with advertising policies.
Who operates this site?
Publisher information must be completed before launch. Replace this paragraph with the actual name or legal business name of the person or organization responsible for RoomRoll Calculator, a real contact email, and any other publisher details required in your jurisdiction. Do not publish a made-up identity or claim credentials that the publisher does not hold.
Contact and corrections
We welcome questions, suggestions and reports of incorrect information. Contact Info.pkto@gmail.com. The publisher should monitor this mailbox and respond to legitimate enquiries in a reasonable timeframe. If the contact method changes, update this page and the Contact page together.
Our commitment
Our goal is to help people prepare for wallpaper projects with more clarity. We will aim to keep the calculator understandable, explain its limitations and improve content when useful feedback or new requirements arise. Visitors should still verify measurements and product-specific guidance before spending money.
How visitors can use the site
Visitors can use the calculator to explore how changing room dimensions, roll size or waste allowance affects an estimate. The supporting guides are intended to explain the result in plain English so that the number is not mistaken for a guarantee. Users should feel free to compare scenarios, record their measurements separately and bring the product details to a supplier or installer for confirmation.
Content review and corrections
We aim to correct material errors when they are identified and to make the site's assumptions easy to find. General guidance cannot cover every wallpaper product or local installation practice. If a manufacturer provides instructions that differ from a general example on this site, follow the product-specific instructions and let us know if a page needs clarification. Feedback can be sent to Info.pkto@gmail.com.
How the site may be supported
The site may, in the future, be supported by advertising or other clearly disclosed commercial arrangements. If advertising is enabled, it should not obscure essential instructions, imitate calculator controls or interfere with visitors' ability to use the tool. Any affiliate or sponsored relationship should be disclosed in a clear and appropriate place. The presence of advertising does not change the need to verify product information independently.
What we do not offer
RoomRoll Calculator does not currently offer on-site measurement, wallpaper installation, product sales, a professional interior-design consultation or guaranteed quotes. The calculator does not know the actual condition of a wall and cannot determine whether a surface is ready for wallpaper. Visitors should hire a qualified professional when a project requires a site inspection or specialist installation knowledge.
Publisher transparency
The operator of a live website should identify themselves accurately and provide a working way to make contact. This package uses the supplied contact email, Info.pkto@gmail.com, but the publisher must still add their real name or business identity wherever appropriate. Do not leave instructional placeholders in the published site or imply that a legal business entity exists if it does not.
