Editorial Lead

Editorial Lead at GameJadoo

The Editorial Lead sets the editorial calendar for GameJadoo, signs off on every pillar page and long-form guide, and owns our deep strategy content on board and puzzle classics. With a decade of casual-game obsession combined with a front-end web development background, the Editorial Lead brings both an editor's discipline and a developer's technical understanding to every game we review.

Background

The Editorial Lead's background combines two threads that are rarer together than they should be: serious editorial discipline and hands-on front-end web development experience. Before GameJadoo, the Lead spent roughly ten years working across independent editorial publications and front-end engineering roles at technology companies. That combination shows up in our published content: a strong editorial voice, but also technical rigor about how games actually work under the hood.

The Lead is the primary author of our most technically detailed strategy content. Our 2048 corner strategy guide is a good example: it doesn't just tell readers to keep their highest tile in a corner; it explains why the corner strategy works, which moves lock the corner in place, and what the game's underlying merge mechanic guarantees about which tile arrangements are recoverable. This depth is possible because the Lead reads the actual JavaScript source of these games — not to copy it, but to understand what the game will do next.

Editorial approach

The Lead's editorial philosophy is simple: every claim in a strategy guide must be reproducible by the reader. If a guide says "the corner method works because the highest tile becomes an immovable anchor", then a reader who tries that method should experience exactly that effect. If they don't, the guide is wrong and needs to be revised. That standard — reproducibility from the reader's side — is what separates a good strategy guide from one that sounds good but doesn't hold up in play.

The Lead is also responsible for editorial calendar planning atGameJadoo: which topics we prioritize, which existing articles get re-tested, and which new game reviews are queued. Editorial calendar decisions are made on a quarterly basis and are informed by both reader search patterns and internal editor priorities.
