Maze Runner is a top-down puzzle-action game where you guide a small character through a procedurally generated maze, find the exit and beat the timer. Each level the maze gets larger and the time gets tighter. There is no penalty for backtracking — only for taking too long.
What makes Maze Runner feel fresh on each run is the procedural generation. No two mazes are the same, so memorising paths is impossible. Instead you build navigation skills: keep one hand on the wall, scan for shortcuts, recognise dead ends from a few cells away.
