About Sudoku Mini
Sudoku-4 is a beginner-friendly version of the classic logic puzzle, played on a 4×4 grid instead of the usual 9×9. The rules are identical to full Sudoku — every row, every column and every 2×2 block must contain each number from 1 to 4 — but the smaller grid takes the maths-test feeling out and leaves you with a pure, quick, satisfying logic puzzle.
For new players, Sudoku-4 is the perfect introduction to Sudoku-style reasoning. You learn the core moves — scan a row for the missing number, eliminate options inside a block, lock in a forced placement — without staring at 81 cells. For experienced players, it is a great warm-up game and a clean five-minute break.
This Sudoku-4 plays free in the browser with no sign-up and no download. The board scales cleanly on phones and works just as well on a desktop. Solved puzzles fade in a satisfying animation and a new board is one tap away. Your best solve time is saved locally so you can chase a personal record any time you play.

How to win
- Scan rows and columns first. Most easy boards are unlocked by row-and-column elimination alone.
- When stuck, look at blocks. A block with three filled cells often forces the fourth instantly.
- Do not guess. Sudoku always rewards thinking — guesses just create deeper messes.
- Use pencil marks if you need to track possibilities. Mental tracking fails on harder boards.
- Practise on easy boards to build the pattern recognition for harder ones.
